RE: Tank Capacities

If its close to my previously owned 99' Jayco Eagle 283G on that chassis (in that model year the Designer just had fancier trim options) they are Fuel-55gal / Fresh Water-41gal / Black-37gal / Gray-40gal / water heater-6gal / 63#propane Enjoy

RE: Kodiak diesel fuel filter change interval

The Station had the gas in their tanks. After I found out what the prob was I went straight to the station to make sure it was'nt me (I have been known to be an idiot) due to some stations around here who don't have deisel will still have green handles. Thats when I filed the claim. How did I do for my very first deisel fill, the Irish luck was'nt with me that day.

RE: Kodiak diesel fuel filter change interval

Here's the update on my Memorial day weekend SNAFU. Gasoline in my Diesel fuel was the cause of me and the fam staying home. My total service bill for this was $1,264.00 plus the 60 gallons of contaminated fuel I lost plus campground deposits. So I went to the last station I filled at, Conoco/Loaf and Jug, filed paperwork with the not surprised manager, heard back from their claims manager who requested all of my bills due to this and SO FAR looks like I'll just be out my lost weekend in Moab. Me being new to the Deisel world, which I've been longing awhile, and this being more or less our first trip attempt, I have to wonder is this a common occurance or do I need to stick to truck stops and Flying J's??

Interval light. At the same time, during the latest occurance, I had the particulate filter light (green) come on as well. I will update as I get info.

RE: Kodiak diesel fuel filter change interval

Nice Read, now! Thursday night heading to Moab, going great for 25-30 miles Fuel filter light comes on with check engine light, my Seneca, with 1450 miles on it, goes into "LIMP MODE" (I'm assuming this is barely moving mode). I pull over and sit 1/2 an hour unplug my Trailer brake controller, thinking I F'ed something up, It runs. Get it back home, check my connections that I made using Desert Deisels thread on electric brake wiring, re-routte the ground (just to be sure). Check engine light goes off, I alredy figured out how to reset the Fuel filter light due to me thinking there is no possible way the FF could be the prob this early in the milage. Friday morning- try again. I get 1/4 mile further than I did the first try, same problem. I off-load the Jeep run to the closest Chevy dealer, grab 3 new FF go back up the mountain do a roadside change, all is good.........so I thought. I get another 2 miles, Same problem. I threw the towel in and had the Road side pick it up and handle from there. This is my first deisel and I want my Ford V-10 back. Are these things really this finicky or am I having the worst luck possible for its very first over the Rockies trip?? Rather be in Moab

RE: TV Power / Ignition interlock relay

Throw a wire nut on both ends after cutting to prevent shorts.

RE: 2008 Jayco Seneca 34SS

you state what the codes are for those axles and springs , but what are the codes for the other axles and springs and what are thier ratings. that would help us determine what we have if different. Here you go: Front Axle- FM7..7,000LB G38..8,000LB FM8..8,000LB Front Springs- FK6..7,000LB (INCLUDES STABILIZER) FSN..8,000LB F15..9,000LB F59..STABILIZER BAR Rear Axle- HD2..DANA S110 13,500 HD1..DANA S130-S, 15,000LB HPK..DANA 19060S, 19,000LB G80..REAR LIMITED SLIP NW9..ELECTRONIC TRACTION CONTROL, UTILIZING ABS SPQ..QUIT-RIDE SPRING PACKAGE Rear Tapered Leaf Springs-includes shock asorbers GXA..13,500LB GQ0..15,000LB GN2..19,000LB GS4..REAR STABILIZER EV8..REAR SUSPENSION BRACKETS ARE RIVETED TO FRAME IN LIEU OF BOLTS EV9..BOLTS IN LIEU OF RIVETS The EV codes becomes significant if you plan to add a rear sway bar. It takes the labor to 9-10 hours=$$$$ with the EV8. I have the 8 GVWR- GZJ..18,000LB GZG..19,500LB GZH..21,500LB GW2 or C4I..22,000LB GW4 or C6V..26,000LB I will have to go visit where mine is stored first to see what I have regarding everything but the rear axle and spring. Have a Great Day!!

2008 Jayco Seneca 34SS

I just got schooled by Jayco on the codes above the visor relating to the springs. I then found a 2008 Medium Duty Truck Online Order/ reference Guide to confirm. The following is fact: HD1 is the 15,000lb axles GN2 is the 19,000lb springs That being said my 08' I ordered at the end of 10/07 and picked up 02/08/08 did in fact come with the 19,000lb springs.

RE: 2008 Jayco Seneca HD 35GS Rear Springs

am right now having The Koni shocks, Front swaybar, Davis Tru-Trac, Rear Stabilizer bar, Safe-T Plus, a 123 watt solar charging system for the 4 12V chassis batteries (that I will never pullout to bench charge)to compliment the 1800 watt prosine inverter, Irish, Congrats on your new MH. Did you add that 1800W inverter? Standard is a 400W and they are still trying to get ours to work. Also, by "Rear Stabilizer bar", are you referring to the Roadmanter rear sway bar or the rear track bar? We added SuperSprings instead of upgrading to the 19K springs as we didn't want the harsher ride. Paul Thank you Paul- No, it came standard equipment. Its even a Xantrex if you can believe that! The rear stabilizer bar I guess could be called a rear track bar. I have also heard it being refered to as the "Hard Bar" as well. This is coming from Henderson. The Rear Swaybar by Roadmaster is the part I don't want to spend install money on (9-10 hours=$900) and I sure as heck don't want to do it. Interesting on the SuperSprings. I have seen some posts on this but no real input regarding the ride. With what we're towing most of the time I'm hoping the 19K's harshness will dampen a bit.

RE: 2008 Jayco Seneca HD 35GS Rear Springs

Does any-one know if a seneca 34ss was being manufactured by Jayco right now which springs would it have? Or does any-one know what other improvements either jayco or gm has done in say the last 6 months on the coach and chassis? Just picked mine up 2 weeks ago. It has the 15K springs (code HD1). To my knowledge, no chassis upgrades have been installed, as far as suspension product. I am right now having The Koni shocks, Front swaybar, Davis Tru-Trac, Rear Stabilizer bar, Safe-T Plus, a 123 watt solar charging system for the 4 12V chassis batteries (that I will never pullout to bench charge)to compliment the 1800 watt prosine inverter, the Dish 1000 satellite, and last but not least the electronic brake control (the prodigy) seeing as I no longer have the time to run wires, that on a MH of this caliber should have already been ran. I was going to have a rear swaybar installed, as an auxillary to the one that Jayco/chevy installed, but due to the EV8 code that says I have rivoted springs and not bolted, (I would assume this is due to the 15K springs)the labor to install according to supersteer is 9-10 hours. I will live without until I get Jayco to step up with the 19K's. All of this was carefully selected, thanks to this forum and the great people that contributed their experiences, along with my personal experience with my last moty, a Jayco 283G on a E450 Chassis that we have had since 1999. To that I hope to be of help to others as time goes on now that I have finally joined. My next post will have my info. Sorry. I just could'nt wait to reply to this message, with the thread out there that says we would all have 19K springs after 11/07 being obviously FALSE.
